3rd Grade Spelling Bee

Conner was in the top three of his class spelling bee. Today he participated in the 3rd grade spelling bee with the 12 other finalists, one of which is his best friend Jackson. Jackson's mom and I picked up the boys and took them to Pizza Factory before the bee to try to boost their confidence. I can't believe how stressed I was during the contest, I could hardly bare to be there. In the end Conner placed 3rd and was really happy about it. He missed the word cents because he didn't ask for a definition and spelled it sense but wow he did a great job. I wonder every day how I ended up with such brilliant children. Conner has such a goofy fun personality that nobody usually realizes just how very smart and talented he is. I'm just glad to have my stomach settled.

Conner and 3 of his best buddies got into the final bee.

How fun, Derrek got to do that last year too and had such a good time. He ended up 3rd as well, the word he missed was marshmallow. Your kids are smart because they have a smart mom and dad.
