Chris and I are both serving with the youth right now which makes for a crazy summer. I am a cub scout leader and the Young Women Camp Director. We went and hiked Ensign Peak the other week. At the bottom we learned that Brigham Young had seen Ensign Peak in several dreams & that's how he knew this was the place when he came to Utah with the Pioneers. We also talked about all that was sacrificed so that the pioneers could come here and how virtuous they were.

At the top we talked to the girls about the value virtue and how the Young Women General Presidency came to Ensign Peak to discuss virtue when they decided to make it a new value. We also talked about why it is so important to be a woman of virtue & then we all signed a flag to declare our desire to be virtuous just as the general presidency did when they were there.
Chris is serving with the boy scouts and teaches them on Sundays. They went out to 5 mile pass the other week to go camping over night. This is so fun for Cade and Chris because they both get to be there together.
They ate tin foil dinners that night and I guess they weren't so great.
The hit of the night was playing a minute to win it! This is Cade doing the challenge of bobbing his head as fast as he can to tack on as many steps possible on the pedometer on his head.
They did lots of other challenges like sliding Oreo's from their forehead to their mouth with out using hands. Right at bed time a huge storm hit that was really windy and rainy but they said they slept okay except for Chris who said he was worrying about the kids.
