4th of July 2009

This 4th of July was a little different because Chris' brother Chad and his family were not in town. My kids felt really ripped off almost like they missed a vacation with them not being here. We did however do our usual 4th of July evening. We met up with my family and cousins at BYU and brought dinner and treats and spent time together waiting for the fireworks to start. By the way we were lucky enough to have my brother and his family there this year since they are due to have a baby any time and could not go to Lake Powell this year (yea! sorry Britt but we love to have you around)

This is the best we could get of Cade since he is way to cool for pictures these days.

Conner playing Sequence with Grandpa.

Sparklers with the cousins, Conner's face says it all
Hanging out waiting for the fireworks is always fun, doesn't my brother look like he is having a blast?

My little niece plugging her ears to help with the noisy fireworks
My other niece clinging to mommy because she was petrified too.

Kelbi clung to Chris or I during the fireworks because she was absolutely terrified but she didn't cry.

Ya she has never stayed up that late before and Cade thought she looked like an angel and placed a halo on her head on the drive home.

Conner made his own get up on the way home with his glow sticks. We love the 4th of July it is always filled with fun family time and much gratitude for our freedom. We missed you Chad, Jamie, kids, and Casey, Amy and Olivia

Major homesickness!! 4th of July is just not the same unless we're at BYU with you guys. Chad and I were talking about taking home leave next year over the 4th just so we don't have to miss our tradition again. We miss you guys!
