We had a really nice Halloween this year and the weather was 70 degrees. I don't ever remember going trick or treating in a short sleaved shirt. The kids had a fun history fair at school where they dressed up in the time period they are studying in history. When they got to school they were able to go to each grade and do some kind of game or activity to learn about the time period that particular grade was studying. Cade is in the sports track this year and he has been studying Greece. He is a big 6th grader now and so they had their own greek olympics including the long jump, javelin throw, shot put, and many others. He really had a great time.
In the evening we ordered our favorite pizza, then got ready for trick or treating. The kids of course now have way to much candy and they each got a dozen Krispe Kremes at the Olsen's house near by. Grandpa and Nanny caught up with us and finally after we wore the kids of trick or treating we came home for a fun game of clue. I love wandering around the neighborhoods on Halloween because it is so fun to see everyone out and about.
