The other night we had a raging storm come in with winds that were in some places over 100 mph. At about 7:30 or 8:00 the power went out for several cities. When I was a kid this happened often but not now days and our kids were freaking out a bit. We broke out flashlights for a while and then decided it wasn't coming back on for quite some time so we broke out the camping lantern.
Next we started a movie for the kiddos on Chris' laptop & by this time they were loving this and hoping it would stay out so they wouldn't have to go to school the next day.
We ended up getting our heater buddy out that you can spot in the top left corner to heat the house. Finally at about 10:00 we decided we better go to bed so we put all the kids in our room to sleep on the floor and used the heater buddy to heat our room. In the middle of the night about 1:20 am the power came back on! First thing Conner said when he woke up was "Is the power on?" We told him yep and he yelled "dang it!" Back to normal life again.
